“I did not sign up to be squished into a very uncomfortable van for over 10 hours and being driven around like cattle. The excursion lasted over 13 hours and we were walking/outside the van for maybe three of those hours. The guide barely talked the entire tour and the driver had a terrible attitude. I was made to drive to another hotel for pick up and later found out that another person staying at my same hotel was picked up there. I overall DO NOT recommend.”

The market is chaotic and beautiful simultaneously. The hand-woven textiles are absolutely incredible. The colorful cemetery is so unique and tells an intricate story. The tour, guide and driver overall were great. The pyramids are simpler than others, and not as old, but interesting to see and a nice reason to break up the drive.”

“Reflexionando, considero que el precio del Tour es muy alto para sólo ser el transporte (sin guía y sin almuerzo). De regreso nos llevaron nuevamente a Antigua, pero con otro conductor. El regreso se sintió bastante inseguro. Este conductor, a diferencia del primero, tomaba las curvas muy rápido en una carretera que ya de por sí ya es bastante peligrosa por el número de curvas cerradas o con barridos de más de 120°.”

“Given the worldwide capacity, Viator is unfortunately unable to control all service providers ; This local travel agency, Guatemalan Adventure, profit from the extreme popularity of this world famous open air market, but their real objective is sparing a large free time in Panajachel to suggest various optional extra activities ! The guide made an extreme effort not to lose any guests in Chichicastenango (I got free strolling time by forcing him), and brought the group to an extremely expensive restaurant (but with no wi-fi facilities !) at Panajachel with no other eating option. Then, the rest of the time is for recommendations of optional extras. I have no objection…”
