“This is a pretty intense hike but doable for mosr levels. The hike up Acetenango is easier than the optional hikes up to the summit and El Fuego. The views of El Fuego are spectacular! The operator gives the same amount of food to everyone. It wasn’t nearly enough for a large male (me). Good idea to bring extra. You will need it. The only complaint I have is that the beds were very uncomfortable and cold. Didn’t get much sleep.”

Just a word of advice to take the following: wet wipes, tissues, head lamp (or torch) for early morning summit, hiking poles (they make such a difference) and obliviously warm clothing (it gets freezing at night).”
